Zaha Hadid Lecture

Dame Zaha Hadid is a world famous architect whose buildings dramatically push the boundaries of design. Many of her buildings appear abstract, through the use of angular shapes, Hadid made the most technology when designing and made sure that they had a flow to them.

She also ensured that most of her buildings had a relationship with their surroundings, whether it be a nod to the area’s history or finding a way to incorporate nature. Exterior walls are not restricting the view to the outside either as Hadid made many of her buildings with a large glass content.

Whatever Zaha Hadid created it was impressive and wowed the design world this led to her being the first Arab woman to receive the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004 as well as winning the Stirling Prize in 2010 and 2011.
